Syke is a versatile, sans serif type family that combines both humanist and geometric concepts. A companion to the monospaced type family Syke Mono, it blends narrowly rounded letter shapes with subtle square detailing creates a design ideally suited for typographical work in digital applications. I had bought a bunch of brushes some time ago and I discovered that the hairs had been treated with some goo to keep them from sticking out. The goo didn’t really come off, so when I started to draw the glyphs for this font, the brush strokes were kind of wild.
